We loved it. Great flavor
I spent many years as a youth living on Oahu and Macadamia nuts were a special treat. They have a mild flavor with a good crunch and buttery/nutty flavor. As far as I know, they have just about the most oil content of any nut.
Fast forward a couple of decades and I just tried the Australian Cold Pressed Macadamia Nut Oil. Its high cooking temperature makes it perfect for stir-fries and similar foods. It has a mild yet pleasing flavor that mixes well with many things. My family enjoys it in seasoned bread dips and stir fries. The bottle is gorgeous as is the golden oil within. Mac Cooking Oil has a smooth, buttery flavor that coats the tongue and helps the other seasonings permeate whatever dish you are creating. While high in fat content, it is good fat and has other healthful properties.
After about two weeks, we're already nearly halfway through lovely bottle. This gorgeous vessel of flaxen oil within would make an impressive gift.
Nice nutty flavor, tastes great when making popcorn.
This is a very nice oil, especially for cooking. It does not have much aroma to it or much flavor, other than a buttery profile. I put in in my salad and could not really detect the flavor, although it did give it a rich buttery taste. Compared with a strong taste of olive oil, this one is pretty mild. However, it performs well while cooking, sauting, browning, etc. The bottle itself looks nice and the color of oil is absolutely gorgeous. I just expected the flavor to be a bit stronger.
This oil has a very mild flavor making it great for high temp cooking like grilling, braising and browning. It is also great for making salad dressings and marinades. It is a bit pricey but is packaged very nicely making it a great gift for someone who is into cooking. Very pleased with it!
